The rich history of Krups dates all the way back to 1846. However, back then they only made scales. It was not until 1956 that Krups introduced the first electric coffee grinder. The Krups electric coffee grinder was an instant success, selling one million grinders in the first year of production. This would prove to be the start of a long tradition of Krups producing top quality coffee machines. In fact in 1983 they introduced their first espresso machine.
