Rocket Espresso produces two of the finest handmade, commercial grade machines for home use, the original Giotto, and the slightly smaller Cellini. Rocket Espresso is the reincarnation of a great Italian classic that dates back to the 1970’s. Two men by the names Friedrich Berenbruch and Ennio Berti attempted to stage a coffee revolution in the 1970’s when they formed Espresso Company Milano (ECM). ECM developed the Giotto, which was the world’s first commercial quality domestic espresso machine. In 2007 ECM was brought back to life by three coffee enthusiasts; Jeff Kennedy, Andrew Meo, and Daniele Berenbrunch, the son of Friedrich. They restarted production of the classic Giotto under the new company name, Rocket Espresso.
