Blade Coffee Grinders

Similar to Chopping, these grinders use blades spinning at speeds of 20K to 30K RMP to grind coffee beans. This coffee grinding process uses a specially designed grinder that results in a very distinct taste compared to Burr grinding and other methods. Blade Coffee Grinders are known for lasting longer than Burr Coffee Grinders and are typically cheaper in cost. However, the grind is not as efficient/uniform, resulting in bean particles of different sizes. Blade Coffee Grinders tend to create what is known as coffee dust, which clogs up machines like espresso machines, pump espresso machines and french presses. If you are going to purchase a Blade Grinder, Drip Coffee Makers are best suited for such grinds.
